Cathy O'Dowd has been a member of the first South Africa Everest expedition, summited Mount Everest multiple times, set the record as the first woman ever to summit Everest from both the North and South sides of the mountain, and she was also on the mountain during the infamous and tragic 1996 storm that took the lives of several people and inspired the book Into Thin Air and the movie Everest.

We discuss all of those adventures today in what is my most powerful interview to date.

I've been fascinated by Everest since I first read Into Thin Air when I was in the 9th grade (about 16 years ago) and I never dreamed that I would get to speak to somone who's been on Everest, let alone someone who was there during the 1996 season.

You're not going to want to miss a single moment of this episode!
