I discuss our experience with an often over-looked negative aspect of long-term travel.

I also talk about how I've decided to stop fighting the universe and start following the path my business is leading me down instead of trying to force it down the path I set out for it.

This week's guest is Michael Schwartz. He is a filmmaker who has been losing his eyesight since he was 13 years old. He describes his vision as being like the foggiest day in San Francisco but even more blurry.

He's currently half-way through a documentary that his taking him all over the world to document stories of people who are losing, or have already lost, their sight. The people he's highlighting are sailors, mountain climbers, entrepreneurs ... people who're accomplishing amazing things despite the challenges they face.

In today's episode, we focus on Michael's own story of how losing his eyesight has made him appreciate the world more, how it affects the way he travels, and his experiences in Australia, New Zealand, and Israel as part of the documentary.

We discuss all of those adventures today in what is my most powerful interview to date.

I've been fascinated by Everest since I first read Into Thin Air when I was in the 9th grade (about 16 years ago) and I never dreamed that I would get to speak to somone who's been on Everest, let alone someone who was there during the 1996 season.

You're not going to want to miss a single moment of this episode!
